April has been an incredible month for Gosforth Harriers, with standout performances, inspiring comebacks, and blistering PBs! We’re thrilled to celebrate five phenomenal athletes who have showcased determination, resilience, and speed.
🌟 Andrew Heppell
Andrew has been unstoppable this month, securing three V45 1st places in major races! From the Port of Blyth 10K to the Good Friday Relays 2.2M and the Quayside 5K, he’s proven time and again that consistency and hard work deliver results. 💨🔥
🌟 Annie Hutchinson
After falling out of love with running, Annie made a triumphant return to the club last autumn, training hard to rebuild her confidence. April marked a huge milestone for her—she ran her first race since 2023 at the Good Friday Relays, reminding us all that perseverance pays off! 👏💛
🌟 Jack McManus
Jack kicked off his track season in spectacular fashion! At the NEYDL, he smashed his 1500m PB by 7 seconds, finishing in 5:05. Just three days later, he did it again at the NEGP, clocking 5:00.56! Huge achievements in a matter of days—what a start to the season! 💨💥
🌟 Ruby Collins
Ruby stepped into the U13 girls’ category in March and wasted no time making an impact. She finished 3rd in her debut race at the Good Friday Relays and followed that up with 1st place in both the 800m and 1500m at the NEYDL in April! 🚀
🌟 Simon Daniels
Simon’s Super Vet dominance continues! He placed 3rd in V55 at the Port of Blyth 10K, achieving his first sub-40 since 2016. Then, less than two weeks later, he stormed to 1st place in V55 at the Good Friday Relays! 🥇
A huge congratulations to Andrew, Annie, Jack, Ruby, and Simon for their phenomenal achievements this month! Their performances highlight the dedication, resilience, and team spirit that make Gosforth Harriers so special.
Stay tuned for more updates and achievements—our Harriers continue to inspire! 💛🏃♂️🏃♀️
