Today, Sunday 2nd November, the Gosforth Harriers lit up the Norman Woodcock Relays at Gosforth Race Course, hosted by our friends at Elswick Harriers. With eight full teams on the start line—including some exciting debuts in club colours—it was a brilliant turnout that showcased the depth, spirit, and togetherness of our squad.
💥 Team Highlights
🥈 2nd place in V50: Gosforth Harriers Team 3 — Neil Ramsay, Steve Boddy & Anna Fletcher. A superb effort from our seasoned trio!
🔥 5th place overall: Gosforth Harriers Team 1 — Reece Slater, Alex Rhodes & Emma Ashman. Fast, focused, and flying the flag at the sharp end.
🌟 Individual Standouts
🥉 Reece Slater (Senior) stormed to 3rd place with a blistering time of 07:55 — a phenomenal run that set the tone for the day.
💪 Andy Heppell (V40) powered through to 9th place in 08:45, showing class and consistency in a stacked field.
🗣️ Back in the Vest
Donning his green and white vest today, one of our runners said:
