It’s the most wonderful run of the year! Join us for our annual festive seaside shakeout — a joyful dash along the sands of Seaton Sluice, followed by a hearty breakfast at the Astley Arms. Whether you’re a seasoned Harrier or just fancy a festive stroll in good company, this one’s for you 💚🤍.

🎅 What to Expect

• A bracing coastal run (it is December!) with distances to suit all ages and paces.
• Christmas attire, fancy dress, and festive flair very much encouraged — Santa always makes an appearance!
• No Harrier left behind: this is a social run, not a race 🏃‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️
• Post-run breakfast at the Astley Arms — we pre-book most of the restaurant so there’s plenty of room for cheer.
• Breakfast costs approx £11, payable on the day.
• Not running? No problem — join us for breakfast only if you’d like 👍

We’re thrilled to be heading back to the coast for our Jingle, Jog & Brekkie festive social in 2025 — returning to the beautiful shores of Seaton Sluice, Northumberland for a morning of sandy strides and seasonal cheer 🎄✨

This much-loved tradition gives us the perfect excuse to share a brilliant coastal route with you — and to refuel in style at the ever-welcoming Astley Arms, where breakfast and banter are always top notch 🥓☕️

The Jingle, Jog & Brekkie is open to all Gosforth Harriers — juniors and seniors alike. Whether you’re running, cheering, or just coming along for the breakfast, we’d love to see you there 💚🤍

📩 All members will receive an email invitation. Please reply to confirm your attendance by Saturday 30th November so we can finalise numbers.

🍳 We’ll be letting the team at the Astley Arms know how many hungry Harriers to expect — and we want to make sure they’re ready to welcome the full crew in festive style!

So dust off the Santa hats, lace up the trainers, and get your name down — it wouldn’t be the same without you 🎅🎄

Our Jingle, Jog & Brekkie takes us on a scenic out-and-back coastal route, covering roughly 5.7 miles along the sands of Seaton Sluice.

🎄 The beauty of this run is its flexibility — you can cover as much or as little of the route as you feel comfortable with. Whether you fancy the full stretch or a shorter festive jog, everyone finishes back at the meeting point together before we head over to the Astley Arms for a well-earned breakfast 🍳☕️

No matter your pace or distance, the emphasis is on fun, friendship, and festive spirit — no Harrier is left behind 💚🤍
