Monday nights are one of the highlights of the week for many Harriers. We head out together for a steady 5–6 mile run, setting your training up for the week ahead.
Our junior sessions are fully coach‑led, with athletes training in specific age groups to make sure everyone gets the right level of challenge and support. Each week offers something different — from speed work and technique drills to endurance running and games that build confidence and fitness.
On Wednesdays, all members are invited to take part in our dedicated track session, designed to sharpen speed, technique, and running efficiency. Led by our qualified coaching team, this structured workout gives athletes of all levels the chance to train with purpose in a supportive, focused environment.
For seniors who prefer to stay local, our Wednesday speed session offers a focused, progressive workout led by Coach Kev Thomas. Based around Great Park and Gosforth, this session delivers all the benefits of structured speed training without heading to the track.
Our Saturday sessions bring together both junior and senior athletes, offering training that develops the perfect balance of speed and stamina. Through focused drills and progressive workouts, runners learn how to accelerate quickly, sustain pace over longer distances, and build the explosive power needed for strong finishes.
